Security operatives at the Tema Port say stowaways are a major challenge faced by the Port Authority.

They claim although the number has drastically reduced, the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority will ensure that stowaways are discouraged.

Speaking at the second Continuous Professional Development Programme of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in Tema, the Deputy Harbour Master-in-charge of Operations, Stevens Siaka-Anane said stringent measures are being put in place to block all loopholes used by persons who would want to stowaway.
