The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Prisons Service Supt. Courage Atsem has appealed to government to increase the feeding fee for prison inmates.

According to him, the current feeding fee of 1.80 cedis per head is woefully inadequate to cater for their daily up-keep.

Supt. Atsem said the current feeding fees should at least be doubled in order to cater for the prisoners.
