Ghana records Zero Covid-19 deaths

There has been no reported Covid-19 deaths in the last two months. In addition no reported case of severe or critical case at the hospitals. Total confirmed cases of Covid-19 as at 23rd April 2022 is 161,172 cases with 159, 679 recoveries.

1, 445 persons have died so far with only 40 active cases.

At a media briefing in Accra, Director General of the Ghana health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye said only four out of the sixteen regions of Ghana have active cases.

He said though the country is experiencing low cases does not mean, “letting down we our guards, especially with regard to the protocols”.

Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye said the only way to keep low cases is for the unvaccinated population to take advantage of the ongoing vaccination.
