UN Senior Mediation Advisor, Emmanuel Bombande, has cautioned Ghanaians against attributing wrong doings such as kidnapping to non-Ghanaians or foreigners.

This comes on the heels of recent developments in the country, particularly the kidnappings in Takoradi, where the blame has been laid squarely on foreign nationals in the country.

Mr. Bombande said Ghanaians should rather build a society of solidarity and be the eyes of the police, to help deal with such issues.

He added that crime must not be related to any specific identity.

The mediation expert said it will be wrong for Ghanaians to jump to the conclusion that some category of foreigners are responsible for the kidnappings.

He made the point in an interview with Ibrahim Kwarteng on Behind the News.
