Ghanaians urged to promote cultural diversity

The Chief of Sabin Akrofrom in the Atwima Kwawoma District of Ashanti, Nana Osei Kofi, has underscored the need for Christians to blend religion and tradition to promote cultural diversity.

He urged Ghanaians to cherish their traditions by showcasing their rich culture.

Nana Osei Kofi was speaking at the celebration of African Traditional Sunday on February 23 at Calvary Baptist church at Agric Nzima, Suburb of Kumasi.

Members of the Calvary Baptist Church at Agric Nzima, a suburb of Kumasi went traditional to mark the African Traditional Sunday instituted by the church.

It aims to showcase the traditions of cultures through clothing and music.

The congregants displayed beautiful colorful traditional clothing including kente and smocks to project the culture of each region.

The Minister in charge of the Church, Reverend Elijah Antwi- Boasiako explained the essence of showcasing African tradition in the church.
