The Ghana Health Service has outlined COVID-19 safety protocols for places of worship, restaurants and chop bars during the festive season.

The measures, which include proper disinfection, provision of sanitizers, soap and water for handwashing, and the wearing of nose masks are to be strictly implemented and enforced.

In addition, such places should be well ventilated and social distancing enforced. The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service Dr Patrick Kumah Aboagye at the final COVID-19 briefing for this year also asked Churches to adopt virtual services to reduce the spread of Coronavirus disease.

Dr. Aboagye also spelt out some guidelines for restaurants, drinking spots and chop bars.

On vaccine deployment, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye said a technical team is working on deployment once it is received.

The target groups to receive the vaccine have also been reviewed.
