The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), has described as inexplicable delay in serving justice in the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein Suale, two years after his death.

According to the GJA, the Police last year gave an assurance of closing in to arrest the perpetrators and it is surprising that nothing has come out of it.

Ahmed Hussein Suale, with Tiger eye PI was shot dead in Madina after the investigative piece on corruption in Ghana’s football administration.

Few months after the incident, six people were arrested but released on bail.

President of the GJA, Roland Affail Monney

At a forum to mark the 2nd anniversary of the murder of Ahmed Suale, GJA President, Roland Affail Monney took a swipe at some political parties, especially, the NDC for inciting their supporters to attack journalists in the aftermath of the just ended elections.

He said the most practical justice for Suale’s death is for his killers to be found, tried and jailed, while other media enemies are stopped, shamed and punished.

Meanwhile the family says it feels neglected and has lost interest in the case especially when the officer who was initially handling the case is outside the country.

According to his brother, Ibrahim Kamilu Tahidu, some Police Officers were killed around the same period, but perpetrators of those murders have been arrested leaving murderers of his brother to walk away freely.
