GJA Dinner Night: An evening of music, dance, and networking- Albert Dwumfour

The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on December 21, 2022 held a Dinner Night at the Ghana International Press Center in Accra. The occasion was graced by the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

In a keynote address, GJA President, Mr. Albert Dwumfuor said the evening gives an opportunity to wine, dance, and dine with colleagues and share ideas for the new year.

“The night gives us the chance to spend time with our peers, dancing, wining, dining and sharing ideas on our profession and development,” he said.

Mr. Dwumfour also stated that the night is set aside for all journalists to come together to relax after months of engaging in serious journalistic work.

He expressed profound gratitude to all the Executives of the GJA for their support and selfless hard work.

He also called on President Akufo-Addo to contribute to the Journalists Support Fund ( JSF), which seeks to fight Impunity of crimes against Journalists.

Mr. Dumfour assured the public of the continued practice of unbiased criticism, ethical journalism, and factual and credible information by all professional practicing journalists.

Also in attendance were Samuel Amo Tobbin, CEO and Executive Chairman of Tobinco Group of Companies, Ghana’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E Gina Ama Blay, Ghana’s Deputy Minister for information, Madam Fatimatu Abubakar, Deputy British High Commissioner to Ghana H.E Kim Mark, Algeria Ambassador to Ghana H.E. Ali Rajeel, Renowned Stateswoman Madam. Joyce Aryee, Rev. Lawrence Tetteh among other dignitaries.
