The Ghana Journalists Association, GJA, led by its Vice President, Mrs Linda Asante Agyei has donated an undisclosed cash to Kweku Mensah Akrobetu, a Morning Show Host of Ke FM, in the Oti Region who is currently on admission at the Burns Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Mr. Akrobetu also known as KMA suffered severe burns following a gas explosion that occurred in his rented apartment in the Oti Region.

Seven persons including the Land Lord were affected by the gas explosion. Five of them are deceased.

KMA who survived the incident is responding to treatment according to Safoah Ompong, Nurse in Charge at the Burns Unit at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

She said KMA is out of ICU, ”but would require some more surgeries as he recuperates”.
