The Ghana Journalists Association, GJA, has organised a workshop for photojournalists in Accra to sharpen their skills so that they can carry out their duties in a professional manner during the general election.

The GJA President Roland Affail Monney said since photographs play a crucial role in election coverage, Photojournalists must ensure that their picture stories do not incite anger and conflict among Ghanaians.

He asked them not to take their safety for granted in every assignment because most of the time they become the target due to the camera they handle.

Mr. Monney while cautioning journalists to always exhibit high professionalism, urged stakeholders to collaborate with the media for an election devoid of violence.
