The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) reminds the public to abide by the COVID-19 safety protocols to prevent the spread of coronavirus ahead of the 2021 Easter celebrations.

In a statement, the association cautioned the public to adhere strictly to all COVID-19 preventive measures, such as social distancing, use of nose masks, hand washing under running water with soap, and use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

The GMA says Ghanaians should shun mass gatherings usually associated with the season such as church conventions, picnics, beach parties, and other forms of celebrations usually seen in the Kwahu enclave.

The Association further appeals to government to see to the strict enforcement of the COVID-19 restrictions and not erode the moderate gains made so far.
