The Deputy Director General of National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Abu Ramadan says government has released funds to purchase relief items to distribute to people affected by the Bagre dam spillage.
Meanwhile, a track load of some relief items are being prepared for distribution on Monday (September 17).
Speaking on GBC’s News and Current Affairs Programme ‘Behind the News,” Mr Ramadan said all affected persons of the spillage will be resettled.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Agric in charge of crops, Dr. Sagre Babangi has dismissed speculation that the spillage of the Bagre dam coupled with torrential rains could threaten Ghana’s food security especially in the three regions of the north.
