Government urged to settle ¢42m owed landfill Operators

The Coalition of NGOs in Water and Sanitation, CONIWAS, is asking the government to settle the ¢42 million debts owed to landfill operators to ensure the efficient operation of all the landfill sites.

Making the demand, the Chairman of CONIWAS, Attah Arhin said since President Akufo-Addo’s declaration of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa, nothing concrete has been done to support Environmental Service Providers Association, ESPA to realise the President’s vision.

Attah Arhin was speaking at a media interaction organised by ESPA and CONIWAS.
