Harmattan season: Drivers urged to refrain from driving with headlights on at night

To avoid road accidents this year, drivers have been advised to refrain from driving with their headlights on at night.

This is to avoid blocking the visibility of other drivers from the opposite direction especially as the harmattan sets in.

This is according to Road Safety Expert, Godfred Akyea Dankwa.

He cautioned drivers against filling their fuel tanks to the brim during this weather saying that could cause explosions.

Mr Akyea-Dankwa also advised commercial drivers to ensure they are properly hydrated by drinking lots of water as well as provide water for customers.

He asked drivers to ensure that their vehicle water tanks are always filled before they take off for work.

He called on the police to be vigilant  to fish out drivers who drive without license.
