Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu has urged Ghanaians to get involved in the tree planting exercise and help sustain the Green Ghana crusade.

This he believes is one of the ways to address the country’s depleted forest cover and sustain the Green Ghana project.

Speaking after planting seedlings including Coconuts, Mangoes and Oranges, Mr. Agyemang Manu noted that the preservation of the vegetative cover will help combat soil erosion and mitigate the effects of climate change.

A Medical Director at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Dr. Emmanuel Srofenyoh said a department has been established to ensure that the planted seedlings are nurtured to serve the purpose for which they were planted.
