Some parts of Accra experienced severe flooding following heavy rains on Wednesday, May 22, causing significant disruption across the city.
The intense downpour, accompanied by strong winds, wreaked havoc in Teshie.

Two young men narrowly avoided death when the entire roof of a building under construction collapsed, trapping them just before midday.
The rains also led to significant traffic congestion on the Kaneshie to Mallam stretch of the Kasoa Highway, the Central Business District, and Odawna, among other areas.
