Immigrants take over streets of Accra

Immigrants have taken over the streets of Accra. They are a permanent feature, strategically positioned on almost every street in Accra.

They have travelled to Ghana from their home countries. These immigrants are mostly from Chad, Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali.

Their aim is to catch the attention of motorists and pedestrians to beg for alms. They seem oblivious to the dangers of the streets.
