Immigration Service registers non-Ghanaian residents

The Ghana Immigration Service, GIS, has begun the registration of non-Ghanaian residents in the country.

It forms part of its mandate to promote socio-cultural and economic development.

It is also to draw a line between the promotion of tourism, foreign direct investments, international business and technological transfer without compromising on national security.

In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana in Sekondi, personnel of the Ghana Immigration Service with the Enforcement Unit, Chief Superintendent Henrietta Amparbeng said the exercise requires the collaboration of members of the public, especially, Hoteliers and Property Owners to submit details of their clients to the GIS or the Police Station for documentation.
