The Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Abla Dzifa Gomshie has put smiles on the faces of children in her Constituency who experienced the recent devastation of the Tidal Waves.
The celebration brought together over two thousand (2,000) children to eat, dance and make merry with the MP.
Similar parties were held for the Aged, Visually Impaired, Physically Challenged, Albinos, Deaf and Speech Impaired as well as for other vulnerable persons in the Municipality.
The MP used the occasion to donate a truck loaded with used and unused clothing, shoes and bags and other usables to the Communities and the Orphanage.
On the 25th of December, she also sent crates of drinks, water, bags of rice, cartons of chicken, boxes of cooking oil, cartons of canned tomato paste, water and some token for the other necessary items for cooking,… “earlier that day I sent a truck load of clothes, shoes and bags to all the communities and the orphanage”, she said.
The items were received on behalf of the Communities by the Assembly Members and Opinion Leaders in the Blekusu, Agavedzi, Amutsinu-Salakofe and Adina Coastal Communities.
According to the MP, “I added Blekusu because they had suffered the same effects of the Tidal Waves in 2017 and also because victims there are still recovering from then”, she noted in a FaceBook post.
On Monday the 27th of December, Mama Gomashie held another party for the Providence Home Orphanage in Aflao.
Madam Gomashie adopted this Orphanage in 2012 and has been supporting them since.
”I had more reason to bless them this year because the Founder, my friend, Helen King, passed on earlier this year”, she wrote.
