Kwahu Easter: About 1000 Security Personnel deployed ahead of festivities

The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwahu South, Emmanuel Atta Ofori Senior has disclosed that about 1,000 Security Personnel have been deployed to the area to ensure security ahead of the Easter festivities.

In an interview with the news team ahead of the occasion which commences Thursday, April 14, 2022,  he said, as part of activities, President Akufo-Addo will grace the launch of the Kwahu State Book slated for Saturday.

The famous Kwahu Easter festivity which resumes this year after being halted for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic will also host the National Lotteries Authority’s weekend draw on Saturday.

Mr. Atta Ofori cautioned drivers to observe road safety regulations during the festivities.

The Chief of Obomeng, Nana Effah Pinamang was hopeful that the occasion will continue to be a driving force for the development of the Municipality in particular and Kwahu in general.

He commended the government for repairing the Obomeng town roads ahead of the Easter celebrations.

He threw a note of caution to indigenes and visitors to exhibit good behavior during the occasion.

When the news team visited some recreational centres, preparations were ongoing to welcome visitors, as most hotels and guest houses at Obomeng, Nkwatia, Mpraeso, Atibie and Obo were fully booked.
