Law experts say the introduction of the E- Justice System is to reduce cases of missing dockets, attendant delays and corruption among others. They say the system is part of government’s e- programme project which seeks to improve the efficiency and coverage of government service delivery.
Speaking on GBC’s Current Affairs Programme, “Talking Point”, a Justice of the High Court, Justice Ellen Amoah said apart from totally removing issues of corruption and delays within the Judiciary, the system will increase the integrity and transparency of the judicial service.

Justice Amoah revealed that more than 90 percent of manual cases have already been logged onto the digital system.
On his part, Kwaku Boadu, an IT Law Specialist said the system is being piloted at the high court in Accra.
Deputy Registrar of the Judicial Services of Ghana, Africanus Mcowusu said the police and other stakeholders are required to use the system.
