The Paramount Chief of the Kpembe Traditional Area in the Savannah region of Ghana has called on Ghanaians to live healthy lifestyles to save the country from allocating and spending excessively on health care delivery.
He said human beings by their nature are God’s creation and need to live healthy lifestyles to be able to serve him and their country.

The Kpembewura Bismark Haruna Dari Babange Ndedeso made these remarks in a message delivered for him at the presentation of equipment to the Community Health Based planning Services Compound (CHPS compound) at Kpembe.

The items include office furniture, refrigerator, motor bike and stationery.

The CHPS Compound was completed in 2013, but could not be used due to lack of logistics, hence the intervention.

An elder of the Kpembewura, Mabuwura Asumani Yakubu who presented the items on behalf of the Kpembewura said the Paramount Chief appreciates the health needs of his people, hence the gesture.
He said people from the Kpembe Community commute far distances daily to access medical treatment at the Salaga Hospital, and appealed to the health authorities to ensure that the items are utilised.

Receiving the items, the East Gonja Municipal Health Director, Zakaria Abdul Kassim expressed satisfaction with the gesture and promised to judiciously use the equipment to ensure a longer life span.

He urged the people to always report health staff who misconduct themselves to the health authorities for action.
