The Stop Coronavirus Ghana, a coalition of private-led professionals’ initiative against the spread of Covid-19, has partnered with Jeanie JQ, a fashion accessory firm, to launch the Free Locally Made Mask to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The drive is aimed at manufacturing and distributing free locally-made nose mask to the vulnerable in society.

Jeanie JQ is a fashion accessory brand led by Jeanette Quashie, its creative director.

Campaign Coordinator, Stop Coronavirus Ghana, Stephen Gyasi-Kwaw, who briefed the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Thursday (April 2), explained that the collaboration between the two entities, would ensure the distribution of free non-medical masks to the vulnerable groups in the country to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

According to Mr Gyasi-Kwaw, Jeanie JQ, had already partnered a team of fashion designers who have been working during the lock-down from their homes to support the initiative.

“Over the next few days, we will be distributing our first 1,500 free locally made nose masks produced by the team led by Jeanie JQ to be donated to various communities.
