President John Dramani Mahama, on Monday, March 10, 2025, held a bilateral meeting with Captain Ibrahim Traoré, Interim Leader of Burkina Faso, in Ouagadougou.

This visit marks President Mahama’s first official trip to Burkina Faso since assuming office on January 7, 2025, following his electoral victory in December 2024.

Upon arrival, President Mahama received a warm welcome from the Burkinabe populace, reflecting the cordial relations between the two nations.

This meeting is part of President Mahama’s broader initiative to strengthen ties within ECOWAS and address pressing regional issues.

His diplomatic tour also includes visits to Mali and Niger, underscoring Ghana’s proactive role in promoting regional stability and economic development.
