Make fuel prices, transportation affordable to Ghanaians – COPEC tells government

Executive Secretary of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah says they are in talks with government to make fuel prices and transportation fares affordable for the ordinary Ghanaian.

The call comes in the wake of incessant increase in transport fares have been increased four times in the last two months.

Speaking to GBC News, Mr. Amoah said the situation can be lessened if the Tema Oil Refinery is fully operational and called on government to treat the matter with urgency.

Mr. Amoah appealed to DVLA to maintain its current charges as an increment will push commercial drivers to also increase their fares.
