Malaria cases remain the major frequently reported health cases at many healthcare facilities in the Ashanti region despite the outbreak of COVID-19 this year.
In the following special report, GBC’s Nicholas Osei-Wusu’s checks at selected healthcare facilities in the region reveal that the number of recorded malaria cases at the facilities and at the district level reduced appreciably, at least in the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year.
All the same, the ultimate national goal of subduing mortalities resulting from the disease has not been derailed by the national attention on the COVID-19 management measures.
