MADINA ZONGO — Renowned master of ceremonies Olumide Samson Olagoke, popularly known as MC DAY, chose compassion and community service over a personal celebration to mark his birthday this year, organizing a charity drive for needy children and underprivileged families in the Madina Zongo community.
The event, organised under the theme “The Global Voice Birthday Outreach,” saw the popular host distribute essential items to vulnerable families while offering words of hope, love, and encouragement.
Driven by Genuine Kindness
Speaking during the outreach, MC DAY shared that the gesture was his way of expressing gratitude to God for His blessings by giving back to those facing hard times.
He emphasised that the drive was not conducted for publicity, but out of a deep personal commitment to uplift others.
“I believe every life matters, and sometimes the greatest celebration is putting a smile on someone else’s face,” MC DAY stated.

He further clarified that The Global Voice Birthday Outreach is not a registered non-governmental organisation or formal charity, but a personal initiative driven by a desire to give back to society.

Impact and Inspiration
The outreach brought visible joy to the beneficiaries in Madina Zongo, particularly the children, whose smiles and enthusiasm highlighted the impact of the gesture.
Reflecting on the core values of the effort, MC DAY referenced Proverbs 19:17 (“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done”), encouraging others to embrace generosity as a daily lifestyle rather than an occasional act.
He also extended sincere appreciation to partners, donors, well-wishers, and volunteers whose prayers, presence, and contributions helped make the event a success.
The event concluded on a high note, with MC DAY reaffirming his commitment to dedicating future birthday celebrations to touching lives—guided by the vision of The Global Voice: “Connecting People. Inspiring Hope. Creating Impact.”
