Another meeting of road transport operators has ended inconclusively.

The meeting reviewed the cost components including the recent increase in the price of petroleum products, cost of spare parts, inflation, drivers’ salaries, and taxes among others.

A statement issued after the meeting On Wednesday, May 12, said transport operators are in talks with the Ministry of Finance and the Ghana Revenue Authority for clarity on the application of the Vehicle Income Tax.

It, therefore, entreated transport operators to stay calm while negotiations take place for an increase in fares within the shortest possible time.

The public is also entreated to disregard any purported increase in fares.
