Melcom supports Department of Medical Services-Ghana Armed Forces

The charitable arm of the Melcom Group of Companies Melcom Care Foundation has supported the Department of Medical Services of the Ghana Armed Forces with electronic Gadgets worth thousands of Ghana cedis.

In efforts to extend a hand of Support under the objective of our Melcom Care Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, to respond to a request from the Department for the award of prices to graduating Students of Batch-3 of the Military Emergency, Melcom on Monday 27th March 2023 presented the items to honour an outstanding recruit in the following categories: Overall Best Student: Best in Academics © Best in Psychomotor Skills and Best Female Graduate

To this request, the Directors of Melcom Group of Companies have approved the donation of prizes for all the listed categories through the Melcom Care Foundation.

At a short ceremony to handover the gargets in Accra, the Director Of Communications, Melcom Group Of Companies, Godwin Avenorgbo, said,  “we are pleased therefore to present to the Department of Medical Services of the Ghana Armed Forces for onward transmission to the planning committee of Batch-3 Military Medical Technicians (EMT)

Graduation ceremony the following prices: Akai Digital Satellite Led TV 32:   Akai Standing Fan 18: Akai Rice Cooker 1.8l And Akai Blender with Mill 1L.

Mr. Avenorgbo hopes that the graduating officers will be encouraged by the knowledge that, “we who are in the private sector are well aware of the role of the Military in keeping Ghana a safe and secure country to live in, despite the seemingly volatile nature of our sub-region to insurgency year after year”.

By this token, Melcom Care honours the gallant men and women of the Ghana Armed Forces, past and present, who have and continue to make personal sacrifices to ensure our safety as a sovereign state.

The Group used the occasion to appreciate the 37 Military Hospitals in Accra for their support and full participation in the Annual Melcom Care National Blood Donation campaigns to feed the hospitals with urgently needed blood under the guidance of the National Blood Service.

The items were presented by Chief Commercial Officer at Melcom, Mudit Bhartagar, and the Nursing Officer in charge of Public Health at the 37 Military Hospital in person Col. Mercy Quaye received them with gratitude.
