The Ghana Meteorological Agency has asked the public to brace up for more floods this year especially, Accra which is becoming a low lying area.

Deputy Meteorologist Joseph Portorphy, said Wednesday’s downpour and the flooding recorded in the city is just the beginning of what is to come this rainy season.

He therefore asked the public to be particularly careful when moving during a downpour, as drains overflow, making it difficult to determine which area is safe.

Meanwhile, NADMO says it is ready to assist those who would be affected. Director of Communications at NADMO, George Ayisi said the organisation has also taken steps to address challenges that could occur when the Weija dam is spilled this weekend.
