The Ghana Meteorological Service has warned of the possibility of more fires in the days ahead.

This is as a result of the dry nature of the weather.

The Deputy Director in charge of forecast Joseph Tetteh Portuphy in an interview with Radio Ghana said because the humidity in the air is low, a little spark from a naked fire may cause an outbreak.

He has therefore cautioned the public not to expose naked fire.

Mr. Tetteh Portuphy also spoke about some precautionary measures one should take to protect the skin during the harmattan which has already begun in the Northern Region.
