The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Most Rev. Dr. Paul Boafo has expressed concerns about the flagrant abuse of Christian principles by people he described as charlatans in the faith.

The Most Rev. Dr. Boafo was delivering a sermon at the Ordination and Induction of 20 new ministers of the Church at the Wesley Methodist Cathedral in Kumasi.

The Ministers underwent six years of theological training and examination. The Presiding Bishop warned the newly-ordained ministers, not to follow what other self-acclaimed men of God are preaching, but propagate the gospel as it is.

He said the calling as a Minister of the Gospel in the Methodist Church is not to amass wealth and property at the expense of the congregation, but to win souls for Christ.
