The Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has expressed satisfaction at the progress of work at the ongoing Kasoa Bulk Supply Point (BSP) Project.

The aim of the 436-megawatt Kasoa BSP is to bring an end to the intermittent power outages and low voltage experienced by residents of Kasoa, Nyanyano, Senya Beraku and adjoining communities.

The project, which is now about 60 percent complete, will have its capacity boosted to supply electricity for over 300,000 consumers when done.

The project, which began in 2019, is expected to be completed in August 2021.

After touring the construction site, the Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh appealed to residents to be patient with the government as it works to ensure regular power supply for all.
