Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh has ordered the immediate demolition of structures on the 13,690 Acre Government land at Afeinya Dawhenya industrial enclave.in the Greater Accra Region.
The vast land was acquired by government in 2016 for industrial purposes.
The Minister gave the orders when he inspected some government lands which have been encroached upon by some Estate developers.
At the time of the Minister’s tour, some individuals were seen developing the land.
Mr. Asomah-Cheremeh earlier caused the arrest of a Chinese Manager of Skyline Quarry Company at Dawhenya for operating for years without any documentation.
When the Chinese man was asked to bring his operating licence, he could not and started pleading for time to acquire it.
The Sector Minister in the company of some police officers had to chase out the illegal Chinese workers at the quarry site leading to the arrest of two.
