MOFA advocates establishment of fertilizer plant in Ghana

Director of Crops Services at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA), Seth Akoto Afriyie, says Government is ready to take advantage of the abundant gas resources  in the country  to establish a Fertilizer Production Plant to reduce over reliance on importation of the product.

The move according to him, will also ensure increase in fertilizer accessibility and affordability as well as create jobs.

Mr Afriyie said this at an Introductory Workshop on Fertilizer Research and Responsible Implementation for  Doctoral  Research students at the Soil Research Institute of CSIR in Kumasi.
