Some residents of Sekondi-Takoradi and its environs have embarked on a demonstration  in  demand for the four, (4), missing girls to be reunited with their families.

The demonstrators all claded in red and black  walked through some major streets of Takoradi to demand the immediate resignation of the CID boss and CID Amatepey who  was handling the case at the Takoradi central police  station before his transfer.

Speaking to Radio Ghana news in Sekondi, Convener of TIWAA MUST GO DEMOS  , John Entsie called on the President Nana Akuffo Addo and the top  hierarchy of the Ghana Police Service to step in and deal appropriately with the Director General of CID,COP Maame Tiwa  Addo Dankwa and all other officials who were handling the case.

According to Mr. Entsie, COP Tiwa must either resign or be sacked because she lied to the state.

He said probably it would have been easier for relatives of the four missing girls to accept the outcome of the DNA results if she had not mentioned earlier that the girls had been found and were under going health care.

Some of the demonstrators also appealed to the President, Nana Akuffo Addo to ensure that the girls are reunited with their families disputing the results of the DNA test.

Other demonstrators also insisted that the kidnapped girls are still alive and vowed to continue their protests until the security heads resign or are fired.

The DNA test carried out on the human parts found in the vicinity of the suspected kidnapper’s home were confirmed by the Police to be that of the four girls who went missing in Takoradi. The announcement was expected to bring closure to the over-one year search for the missing girls but it looks as though there is more to come instead.
