Accra Circuit court has adjourned to the 22 of this month, the case involving a radio show host, Salifu Maase also known as Mugabe.

Prosecuting DSP George Amegah pleaded with the court to give time since they are yet to file some other documents and also the case management conference.

Presiding judge, Eva Bannerman Mensah granted Prosecution their request and therefore adjourned the case accordingly.

It would be recalled that Salifu Maase also known as Mugabe had alleged on his radio show on XYZ that he had information on a planned threat on the life of Multimedia Group Limited investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni following his publication on the use of the Osu Castle by a private person in the recruitment of “party vigilantes.”

He was therefore invited by the CID to give them the information  he says he has but Mugabe couldn’t provide any information.

He was subsequently arrested and charged with offensive conduct to breach public peace and publication of false news to cause fear and panic.

He was also charged with offensive conduct for allegedly describing the Inspector General of Police and all police officers in the country as fools during a political show on Radio XYZ on February 8, this year.

Mugabe was again charged with  publication of false news after he allegedly stated on the same show that the ruling New Patriotic Party had planned to kill journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni of the Multimedia Group.

The court, granted him bail following an application by his counsel, Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe.
