NDC Zongo Youth hold prayers for road accident, Mosque murder victims

The Zongo Caucus of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, has organised a Moslem prayer service for the victims of recent road accidents in Ghana and the New Zealand massacre.

Two weeks ago, the world witnessed one of the most devastating hate crimes in recent times with the unfortunate shooting of more than 50 people in two mosques in the New Zealand city of Christchurch by a Gunman.

Speaking at the event, the National NDC Zongo Caucus coordinator, Alhaji Mamah Mohammed called on Muslims all over the world to condemn hate speech against Muslims and Islam and said the act is unacceptable in any society and therefore not welcome by any Muslim all over the world including Ghana.

Following the recent road accident in the country which claimed the lives of over 50 people last week, the NDC Zongo Caucus is also calling on government to declare at least a three-day national mourning to give the sad incident the national attention it deserves.

They also called on President Akufo-Addo to help ensure safety on the roads.
