The National Labour Commission, NLC has secured an interlocutory injunction against members of the Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists to call off their strike and return to work with immediate effect.

The court order which was obtained today binds the Association to go to the negotiation table with the NLC to address all grievances.

The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Chapter of the GAMLS embarked on industrial action over the appointment of two Doctors to the Laboratory Unit, blaming the Management of the Hospital for interference.

Calls by the NLC on the association to back down on the decision provoked a nationwide strike by members in public hospitals.

Confirming the restraining order to GBC News, Executive Secretary of the NLC Ofosu Asamoah said the Commission is ever ready to have a fruitful dialogue with the Association without any prejudice.

He advised aggrieved workers to channel all grievances through the Commission for redress instead of taking the law into their hands and declaring strike overnight.
