The National Media Commission (NMC) has in consultation with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, appointed Chairpersons and members of governing boards of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC; Graphic Communications Group Limited, New Times Corporation and the Ghana News Agency.

The GBC Board has Prof. Emmanuel Adow Obeng as Chairperson with Mrs. Efua Ghartey, Ing. Henry Kanor, Dr. Sarah Dzane, Alhaji Alhassan Abdulai, Samuel A.Y. Debrah, Dr. Charles Kwening, Forson Osei Bonsu and Yaw Obeng Owusu as members.

For the Graphic Communications Group Limited, Prof. Kwame Karikari becomes the Chairperson with Dr. Rita Larsen Reindorf, Alhaji Mohammed Yusuf Twumasi, Dr. Kwame Nyamekye, Mrs. Ruby Ivy Austin, Daniel Addai, Paul Osei Barima, and Dr. Valentin Kwasi Mensah as members.

For the Ghana News Agency, Prof. Olivia Frimpong Kwapong is Chairperson and the members are Charles Acheampong, Doris Adabasu Kuwornu, Dr. Francis Grant Gbormita, Peter Claver Nibepo Sangber-Dery, Michael Antwi Agyei and Ransford Tetteh.

The New Times Corporation board is chaired by Very Rev. Ama Afo-Blay with Awuku Lokko, Alex Kwadwo Boateng, Albert Sam, Prof. Kofi Quashigah, Dr. Kweku Rockson, Donald Gwira and Mrs. Victoria Natsu as members.

A Statement issued by the Executive Secretary of the NMC, George Sarpong outlined the swearing-in of the boards as follows. The Ghana News Agency, January 13; New Times Corporation, January 14; the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, January 15; and the Graphic Communications Group Limited January 16, 2020.
