Northern Accra Bishop dedicates new Dome for worship at Okpoi Gonno

A new 100-seater capacity Dome for worship has been dedicated for the Okpoi Gonno Methodist Nursery Society in the Airport East Circuit of the Methodist Church Ghana.

The Dome was acquired by members of the Immanuel Methodist Church, East Airport in the Regimanuel Gray Estate led by the Immanuel Methodist Men’s Fellowship.

Commissioning the Dome last Sunday, the Bishop of the Northern Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph M.Y. Edusa-Eyison said the provision of a place for worship was in line with the objectives of the Methodist Church Ghana to evangelize to win more souls for the Kingdom of God.

He disclosed that in furtherance of an expansion in the efforts of discipleship, the Methodist Church Ghana has decided to focus more on teaching its members across the length and breath of the country to live like Jesus Christ in the ensuing year and beyond.

He commended the Airport East Circuit and in particular the Immanuel Methodist Society for their foresight in planting the OKpoi Gonno Nursery Society.

The Superintendent Minister of the Airport East Circuit of the Methodist Church Ghana and Minister-in- charge of the Immanuel Methodist Society, Very Rev. Dr. Jacob W. French expressed the gratitude of the Church to Mr.  Mrs. Amos Sackitey for offering the premises of their home to accommodate the Dome for the worship of God and prayed that the Nursery grows to become a bigger Society in the Circuit.

Other leading members of the Northern Accra Diocese who participated in the dedication of the facility included Mr. Nimo Ahinkorah, Lay Chairman, and Very Rev. Rebecca Baiden, Assistant Synod Secretary of the Northern Accra Diocese and Minister-in-charge of the Trinity Methodist Society, Martey Tsuru also in the Airport East Circuit.
