The Northern Region will host this year’s (2018) National Farmers Day celebrations. As part of effort to ensure a successful event, the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), has identified and met with major stakeholders to strategise and solicit support towards the event.
To this end, a Local Organizing Committee has been set up to work closely with the national organizing committee.
At a media briefing in Tamale, the Chief Director of the RCC, Alhaji Alhassan Issahaku said the event will focus on innovations, potentials and opportunities to attract people to the agricultural sector.
The celebration is the 34th edition since the introduction of the awards scheme.
