Auditor General, Mr. Daniel Domelevo’s has reacted to President Akufo-Addo’s directive for him to retire.

Mr Domelevo took to his Facebook page moments after the letter signed by Nana Asante Bediatuo was made public and decided to summarize his thoughts in a song from the Methodist Hymn Book.

It is unclear the connotation of the song in relation to what many Ghanaians including anti-corruption campaigners have described as hounding of Mr Domelevo from office.

However, if the lyrics of Methodist Hymn 10 are anything to go by, the former Auditor-General seems satisfied by his works during his tenure as the institution’s top official.

Meanwhile, some Ghanaians have shared varied views on social media about the development. Some asked for God’s blessings upon him for his service while others charged him to seek legal intervention for the unfair treatment meted out to him.

To the anti-corruption crusaders, his exit from office signals Ghana’s defeat in the fight against the menace.

However, some youth are happy to get employed as other officials like Mr Domelevo retire from active service.

Government critics also chastised the handling of the matter to denigrate his integrity and nationality.

Below is a copy of the letter signed by Nana Asante Bediatuo
