Takoradi Constituency Treasurer of the ruling New Patriotic Party, (NPP), Mark Ofori, has been shot dead by some unknown assailants.

Mr. Ofori was allegedly shot in his house at Fijai, a suburb of Sekondi in the Western region.

The sad news has thrown members of the party  and the public into a state of shock, fear and grief.

According to some relatives, the gunman went straight to Mark’s room, shot him and left without taking anything.

His body has since been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue.

Meanwhile, the police is yet to comment on the development.
