The Criminal Division of the Accra High Court could not continue the evidence in chief and cross-examination of the seventh prosecution witness Detective Thomas Prempeh Mercer in the case of the Republic and Dr Stephen Opuni and two others.

This is because the Supreme Court Judge sitting with additional responsibility as a High Court Judge Justice Clement Honeyenugah told the court that upon consultation with the counsel in the case it is clear he has to adjourn the case due to circumstances beyond the control of the court.

The case has however been adjourned to the 25th of this month.
