Otumfuo commends Ambassador George Ayisi Boateng

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu has commended Ghana’s immediate past High Commissioner to South Africa, Ambassador George Ayisi Boateng, for his sterling performance during his four-year duty tour.

He said his outstanding performance has brought honour to Ghana.

Among the achievements include the establishment of the VW Group South Africa and Nissan South Africa Automobile Assembly plants in Ghana, and the negotiated visa-free Ghana and South Africa policy which is yet to be operationalized due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All these he noted, are part of President Akufo-Addo’s vision to see Ghana industrialize to create employment and the Ghana Beyond Aid realized.

The Asantehene made the commendation when Ambassador Ayisi Boateng paid a courtesy call on him at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The former High Commissioner visited the Palace to officially inform the Asantehene of his return home after a successful four-year duty tour.
