More than 300 workers of  Aviation Handling Service-Ghana, have been sent home in a redundancy exercise due to the impact of the COVID-19.

According to the GNA, a Redundancy letter dated 4th of March signed by the Managing Director, Thierry Maillot, gave the staff only one-month’s notification.

The letter said the action is due to the negative impact of COVID-19 on its operations and the Aviation Industry as a whole.

It added that the redundancy, which took effect from the 6th of April this year, is to ensure continuous existence of the company.

Management thanked the affected workers for their invaluable services to Aviation Handling Service-Ghana over the years and wished them well in their future endeavours.
