President Akufo-Addo has inaugurated the Suhum Overpass in the Eastern Region with a call on all drivers to be cautious on the road.
Construction of the overpass forms part of the Nsawam-Accraa Highway project.
President Akufo-Addo said construction of the road, which is one of the busiest in the country, will improve economic activities immensely. He was grateful to the contractors, China Water and Electricity Corporation for a good work done.
The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako Atta said the overpass is made up of two bridge and spans four kilometers.
He explained that the project was suspended in 2009 for lack of funds.
The entire project will be completed April 2021.
