The Defense and Interior Committee of Parliament has condemned the alleged brutalities meted out to law students who massed up at the Jubilee House on Monday, to petition President Akufo-Addo to reform legal education.

The Vice Chairman of the committee, Collins Owusu Amankwah is calling for thorough investigations into the actions of the Police against the demonstrators.

In a related development, the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Abu Jinapor has assured law students of President Akufo-Addo’s willingness to accept their petition in good faith.

Mr. Jinapor however, indicated that the President has limited authority in dealing with their issues.
