The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced the postponement of the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
In a statement issued from his office on Monday, October 6, 2025, the Speaker said the decision to defer the meeting was due to circumstances beyond his control.
The meeting, which was originally scheduled to commence following a notice issued on September 29, 2025, will now be held at a later date to be communicated in due course.
“The commencement of the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic is deferred until further notice due to circumstances beyond my control,” the Speaker stated.
